For decades, Galbiati Group has been working with the most important foreign and domestic manufacturers to ensure a complete supply of mechanical subcontracting drilling and milling work of components for rolling mills and steel mill plants.

We are perfectly capable of processing any type of rolling mill components. For this specific case, Galbiati has recently introduced subcontracting for clamping and contrasting segments.

Example of interchangeable segment/clamping roof panels on top of the Mandelli  M14 processing centre and fully completed components from scratch.

After the machining cycle, the segments are tested with its ZEISS MMZ-G 30 60 25 three dimensional coordinate measuring machine to ensure perfect geometry and the appropriate interchangeability with the original roof panels .

  • The Galbiati case is still school: the case history of the Group

    The Galbiati case is still school: following the event of the last July 8th 2011 2011 it was now the venue for the 21 Assiot affiliates whose Galbiati case history was presented, in cooperation with Staufen, on Friday October 28th 2011.  Optimization of production and lean production were the issues covered during the event, both on a theoretical and academic point of view thanks to the great presentation of Dott. Giancarlo Oriani, managing director of Staufen Italia, and on a practical one, through the visit to the facility by all Assiot affiliates (mechanical workshop and assembly department).
